This course is suitable for anyone needing a basic introduction to domestic violence and abuse offering a choice of learning methods. It stands alone or can step up to the level 2 and 3 courses.

Domestic Violence and Abuse – Level 2 – full day - this includes discussion of the latest research on types of domestic violence and abuse, cycle of change, barriers to leaving and much more.
The Level 2 course is designed for anyone working directly with families who may be affected by domestic abuse. This course will provide learners with a greater knowledge and support practice from that gained in the Level 1 course.
By the end of the course you will be able to:
- Describe what domestic violence and abuse is and the dynamics and barriers that make it hard to report, and difficult to escape from.
- Describe the wide-ranging effects on Adults and Children who have experienced domestic violence and abuse
- Be alert to the possibility of domestic violence and abuse in your own workplace whether customers or colleagues.
- Know how to respond appropriately and where to get support
